Turner Family Support Center
Turner Family Support Center is a psychiatric hospital diversion program for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 years old experiencing crisis. We are a short-term (7 days) crisis stabilization home located in Leeds, Maine designed to be child-centered, family-focused, community-based, educational, supportive, trauma-informed, and co-occurring capable. Our trained staff assist children and families with coping strategies to use during crises in their own homes or in a child’s placement.
We are licensed for 4 beds which are co-ed and we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We help families to utilize adaptive skills to prevent crises and we assist clients in developing their own crisis plans. We provide crisis stabilization, medication monitoring, a structured and supportive living environment, behavior management, qualified residential staff, family/network meetings and regular psycho-educational groups.
Children's Case Management Services
We offer Chilren's Case Management Services to assist youth with mental health issues, developmental disorders and chronic medical conditions and thier families. We recognize that families can face unique challenges and assist with the development of an Individual Service Plan (ISP) detailing the strengths and needs of the child and the services necessary to address these needs. Our trained Case Managers will work with the family to assist with the coordination and advocacy of services for the child.
We are licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services and serve eligible youth from birth to age 20. We assist families to build independence, enhance functioning, improve outcomes at home, school and within the community and empower youth and families.
