SERVICES PROVIDED
The Greenleaf House Mental Health Program provides a structured daily routine that is designed to provide a safe, secure, learning environment in which all youth can grow and work towards their own unique issues and to accept responsibility and accountability for their behavior. Youth are provided with life skills that will have life-long benefits and help the youth move forward in his life. Qualified staff members as well as educational and clinical professionals, work with the youth and their families with all necessary social service support personnel, to develop an individual treatment plan for each youth. The plan will address social activities and skills, life skills, community service and connections, education, including vocational, behavioral and adult education, mental health counseling and family therapy, when appropriate. To meet the unique needs of the youth at the Greenleaf House Mental Health Program, we have a team of dedicated professionals trained extensively in all areas of crisis/child management and mental health issues. The staff uses a team approach to provide 24-hour quality care to each youth and one-on-one individualized time to address each youth's specific needs. Individual growth includes life skills, connecting youth with family, psycho-educational groups, adventure-based activities, self-esteem, anger management, and gaining an understanding of their pasts and how to cope with whatever issues they face. Length of placement varies according to the individual needs of the youth. No arbitrary minimum or maximum length of stay has been established. More importantly, emphasis is placed upon individual development within the group home environment.
